For fourteen years at an early intervention center\, Rosanne has been committed to helping children\, families\, early childhood providers\, and direct service providers better understand the importance of social-emotional health\, well-being\, and how strong\, positive relationships can help children (and adults) develop trust\, empathy\, compassion\, and have a better sense of who they are.\n\n \nPassionate about supporting relationships\, Rosanne believes in cultivating relationships through connection. The cornerstone to her work is exploring the depths of social-emotional health in the parent-child relationship. In her work\, Rosanne supports families\, early childhood providers\, and direct service providers in developing the capacity to experience\, regulate\, and express emotions; form close and secure interpersonal relationships; and explore the environment\, within the contexts of family and community\, and culture – how they all influence every aspect of human development.\n\n \nAs a CODA (Child of a Deaf Adult) and DHH herself\, Rosanne brings this layer of experience and knowledge to her work as it relates to families of children who are deaf\, deafblind and hard of hearing.\n\nWe are pleased to welcome Rosanne in sharing this information with attending families.

SUMMARY:Give Big Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Washington State Hands & Voices (WAH&V) is dedicated to supporting families of children who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing without a bias around communication modes or methodology. We are a parent-driven\, non-profit organization providing families with the resources\, networks\, and information they need to improve communication access and educational outcomes for their children.\n\nWhat is GiveBIG?\n\n\n\n\nDuring the GiveBIG statewide fundraising campaign\, individuals and organizations come together across Washington to invest in our community. When we give\, we take a proactive step towards creating the society we want to live in.\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nEvery spring\, the excitement for GiveBIG builds through grassroots-based word-of-mouth\, social media\, an extensive multimedia promotional campaign\, and local celebrities and sports teams firing up the community to show their generosity. This year’s GiveBIG campaign kicks off April 20\, and culminates with 48-hour giving event on May 4-5!\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nIn 2020\, 91\,618 donations were made to 1\,635 nonprofits. These donations combined with donor-advised funds (DAF) and IRA contributions\, matching donations from individuals and companies\, and in-kind contributions from local media companies totaled $19.2 million!\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nGiveBIG was started by the Seattle Foundation in 2011 and transferred to 501 Commons in 2018. Since it is inception\, GiveBIG has raised $144 million for nonprofits.\n\n\n  \n\nDonate
