In October 2018 the National Association of State Directors of Special Education (NASDSE) published the third edition of Optimizing Outcomes for Students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing: Educational Service Guidelines. The purpose of this guideline is to inform school district staff, administrators, specialized contractors and families when making appropriate decisions for students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
